 Packing for your next trip? What if you had a checklist that made life a lot easier when it came to setting up your suitcase for your travels? Although I am a great list maker there has been the odd occasion where I too have left my sunglasses behind, or the spare phone charger sitting on the kitchen bench. All too often we can find ourselves packing at the last minute only to find that we leave something behind that could make our time away much more comfortable.  Over my years of travels I have come to realize that the quickest and easiest way for me to pack is having a set checklist that is my go to prior to departing the house, suitcase in hand. By having a checklist helps to prevent overpacking, however what I find most importantly is that when I have my go to checklist it helps me to organise and prioritize what I need based on my essentials, freeing me up to enjoy my well earned travel break rather than what was that thing I forgot to bring? Done is better than perfect, there is no perfect without being done. On this list are the things that I know I will need on many of my trips; they are the staples for my travel essentials, which I break down into 4 key areas. These areas include my essentials, technology, fashion, and beauty.  I will often plan my outfits by checking my travel itinerary and what I plan to be doing each day. I then lay them out and do one last crosscheck before rolling them neatly in sections into my suitcase. Not only does this create more space in my suitcase, it also prevents the clothes from creasing too. Even having simple strategies such as placing your socks inside shoes can create more order and save space.  Once I have reached my destination, if I’m there for a while, I like to put my things away in the closets provided. This makes it easier each day when I’m sorting through both my children’s and my clothing to find what’s set for that day to what has already been worn. Packing a wash bag is fantastic for this. When you finish using an item just place it in the wash bag ready for the trip home or the next Laundromat. It prevents you from having endless items sprawled throughout your bag whilst you try to sort what’s what, saving you time and energy. All of this in mind and depending upon your lifestyle needs yours may differ. There could be other things you may need to consider on your travels that make travelling a breeze.
