Clean Living Hack 1: Time your washing effectively
Do a load of washing whilst you get the kids ready for their day and hang it out either before you leave for school drop off or when you get back.
This will mean one less job you need to worry about later in the day.
Clean Living Hack 2: Wash dishes as you go
Now this one is debatable depending upon your lifestyle and how your family life rolls, whether you have a dishwasher etc, but what I find in my home is that if I wash my dishes as I go then I never get the dish clutter.
In fact I hardly ever get up in the morning with last nights dishes in the sink and that's because its all part of my dinner 'wash as I go' routine.
It is a great strategy because your sink doesn’t pile up and all of a sudden you’re landed with a sink full to deal with.
Clean Living Hack 3: Tidy before bed
Prior to lights out be sure to give your home a quick once over.
To do this look for things such as clearing the bench tops and giving them a wipe, to putting things back where they belong. This will help you to wake up fresh in the morning ready to start your day with a clean slate rather than having to carry yesterday’s clutter on your shoulders.
Clean Living Hack 4: Have kid free and friendly zones in your home
In our home everything has a place and this helps to prevent the clutter build up of children’s stuff amongst other throughout the house.
We have a toy room where toys are put away as soon as they are finished with, and they have their own room as their sanctuary which means a clean and clutter free home as a result.
Choose your zones and set your ground rules, it will definitely help to contain the kids clutter to specific areas rather than being dragged throughout the entire house.
This way everything has a space within the home.
Clean Living Hack 5: Outsource for a deep clean day
If you’re either working in or running a business whilst running a family this can leave you pushed for time, which is often one of the main reasons things can get left in the first place.
To help you in maintaining a clean home I highly recommend you consider outsourcing if you need to.
This could be getting a cleaner in for just three hours once a month to complete a deep clean of the home such as cleaning showers, ovens, to dusting shelves and skirting boards etc.
This can help you to maintain a fully clean and clear home whilst freeing you up with a little more quality time on your hands to spend with your family or have that well earned break that you probably need.
